Château Canon Chaigneau
Marine and Romik took over Château Canon Chaigneau in 2020. It’s a 21-hectare estate at the highest point of the Néac plateau, a few minutes from Pomerol’s most famous names, with vines that average 35 years old. They make their wines with Thierry Garnaud, former cellar master at Château Cheval Blanc, and share his philosophy: let the vines and the grapes do the talking, with minimal intervention and traditional methods, and never chase heavy, over-extracted wines. We aim for wines that are delicious, drinkable and complex, true to their terroir and vintage.
The estate is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified at Level 4 — France's highest environmental certification for wine estates, independently audited by the French state. It verifies that the estate's biodiversity management, fertiliser and irrigation use, and plant-protection strategy all meet strict sustainability thresholds — a third-party guarantee of genuinely responsible farming, not just a claim on the label.
Marine and Romik now live in Singapore with their young family, and they love nothing more than sharing La La Lande with people in Singapore who care about who makes their wine.
